A well done alternative to putting a table below the TV. It really works well with the TV mounted up so high. Looks like there's a outlet box behind the DVD player there. Clean install - no wires.

Well, I see this question come up a lot - "Can mount my flat (plasma, lcd, etc.) TV above the fireplace"? The answer is "yes".

Here's somebody that did it and gave us pictures to prove it with. Not only did he mount his plasma TV above the fireplace but he also used only one stud in the center of the mount along with some drywall anchors. Way to go Darron!
